About the Work
In his series of monsters rendered in black and white ink lines, MUKLAY depicts classic Godzilla-esque characters with exaggerated expressions and mouths full of sharp teeth. The crisp linework and distinct textured edges showcase his signature style, which fuses Japanese tokusatsu with street illustration.
About the Artist
MUKLAY (Muchlis Fachri, b. 1993, Jakarta) is a highly regarded emerging artist from Indonesia. Known for his bold character designs and a visual vocabulary that blends Japanese animation with street culture, he has held solo exhibitions in locations including Ginza, Tokyo, and YOD Editions.
