The consistent use of a black background in the work symbolizes "death," which is ever-present and ubiquitous in our world. Within this space, a colorful world is depicted, representing the existence of "life."

As a medium connecting these two polar opposite worlds—"life and death"—the character of a "young girl" is placed in the work to serve as a bridge between them.

Concept:

This piece features a composition of land scenery below and ocean waves covering it, depicting the phenomenon of land erosion due to rising sea levels and focusing on the issue of environmental degradation.

The flowers blooming on the land symbolize life, but the waves covering them represent the rising sea levels caused by global warming in recent years, which are gradually submerging the land. Even the distinct boundary between land and sea is disappearing, hinting at the breakdown of natural order.

On the other hand, human thoughts and emotions can sometimes be as chaotic and unsettled as the ocean surging at night. This work juxtaposes this internal state with the imagery of the ocean.

Ultimately, the work reflects on the relationship between nature and humanity, as well as the profound impact of environmental destruction.
