It had nothing left to give but itself.

I wonder if a rock has ever been curious about what it's like to be a fruit.

This piece started with that thought—a rock that had already been bitten.

It lost a part of itself, yet it still exists.

I am fascinated by moments when, even when utterly depleted, people still choose to give.

When we have nothing left to give, the only thing we can offer is ourselves.

Love, time, expectations, and survival all leave their marks on us, and we cannot go through it all unscathed.

This piece is inspired by the feeling evoked by Beabadoobee's song "Take a Bite". It's not about the story of the song itself, but rather the quiet yet profound realization within it—every act of giving changes the person we ultimately become.
