About the Artwork
The girl's face is bathed in gentle light and shadow, dusted with shimmering starlight, as if listening to a secret that belongs only to her. The rounded corners of the canvas evoke the intimacy of a window view, marking this as a signature piece from Nara Marin’s "Light" series.
About the Artist
Nara Marin (b. 1990) is a Filipino narrative painter. Her work features "Naneri," a girl in a beret—a symbol of companionship, empathy, and healing, and a "revolutionary of love" who reminds people to prioritize mental and emotional well-being.
